Ladies and gentlemen, this is a true story. The names have not been changed to protect anyone

So I'm sitting there eating a three way for lunch and I'm reading the menu for this years taste of Cincy and I notice something strange. There is no cincinnati chili represented at a taste of Cincy this year. Seems odd to me that there would be no Cincinnati Chili on the menu, so I delve a little further into what there is to eat. Now, there are plenty of choices, some are perenial favorites and others newer to the festival but almost all share one thing in common. They are greater Cincinnati restaurants. They are restaurants from Cincinnati and NKY that are not National chains, most are owned by Cincy area residents. Now, I'm not down on chains. I've eaten a quite a few of the national chains around town and have had some very nice meals at them. But this thread is more about Cincy restaurants. So I ask myself, what does Cincinnati taste like? What does it taste like to each individual? Does it taste like a three way or a cheese coney? Is it a rueben? Is it a piece of larosas pizza or a scoop of ice cream from Graeters Aglemisis or UDF? Is it baked goods from one of the local bakeries? I'm just picking a few examples of Cincinnati mainstays, but it could be any of those to a number of people. Actually, though you'd get many answers if you ask people around here what this town tastes like, you would probably hear those amongst others quite a bit. So what's my point in all this rambling? Well, it's actually simple. The event is called taste of Cincinnati for a reason. It's supposed to be a representation of much of what this area has to offer in various kinds of cuisine. It's supposed to be a taste of the many cultures we have here in the area. It's supposed to be a showcase of some of Cincinnati's best. And it does do that. It offers many their best chance to sample from restaurants they dont normally go to or have heard of but never tried. So what does Cincinnati taste like?
Well, there isnt a right or wrong answer to this question. Actually the only right answer is what every it is to you.
Still a taste of Cincinnati without chili doesnt seem right, but it's ok. We can have that any day at a number of places around town just like I did today.
So what does Cincinnati taste like to me?
Today it was a three way, and it was pretty darn tasty indeed!
Who knows what it'll taste like next!

What does it taste like to you?
